So, it's my last day and night here in Copenhagen. What a wonderful time I've had. It's peculiar to think that this last 7 weeks of my life has been one of the most significant times in my 23 years of living. It's a little sad now that it's over, as I sit here being the only one left in my group who hasn't left yet. Don't feel sorry for me as all good things must come to an end at some point. Just as it was coming here, I'm not excited to leave but I'm excited to be home. Leaving is the worst part. Thanks to all of you for reading my blog and keeping up with my doings. It makes me happy to see so many views and comments on my site.

So anyway, I said I would let you know how the exhibition went. It was fantastic! Terribly unorganized for us as we were the first glass class to come through the program and nothing was pre-arranged for us, but we pulled it off extremely well and people were very surprised to see all of the things we managed to make and design in the last 6 weeks.

It was set up so that all of the 60 some furniture pieces were on a flat board low to the ground, 2 podiums were on each board for selective glass pieces, and a textile or 2 separated the walkways. There was a catwalk that went around the perimeter of the glass salon which lead you to the upstairs portion of the exhibition: the rest of the glass. We had the ceramics room as our main exhibition. Each of us had a square cube to set our individual things on and then there was a long banquet table, Scandinavian style, that we used to display our table-top pieces altogether.

This last picture is my favorite piece that I made. It's done in a "graal technique" and it's really heavy. But I love it. The exhibition went from Wednesday evening which was the main event and continued until midday Friday, when we took everything down and started packing up. There was a delicious catered dinner on Wednesday and dessert to follow. I don't like cake all that much but this cake was the best I've ever tasted. It was like a mild tiramisu but not really. Whatever. It was phenomenal. The rest of this weekend has been spent at the beach, soaking up as much sun as possible with friends, then saying goodbye to friends, packing, cleaning my room, eating the best ice cream in the world, and doing last minute things. I took one last bike ride today before it was too late. And now I'm off to find another last minute thing for someone. Thanks again for reading. I can't wait to see all of you to give a slideshow of ALL of my pictures and show you my creations! Take care and much love. Laura
