Baseball games in Busan!

Now that I've avoided this site for months and months... I'm back.
I attended my first baseball game last night since... I don' t know exactly. Since before high school I think. Korea has MLB just like we do at home (in fact, I think all of Asia does), same team names and everything, which I find rather funny. Busan's team is the Giants. Lotte Giants. They have quite possibly the best fan base imaginable. The enthusiasm and excitement was thick. It hovered like a cloud, contagiously, in the air, and I caught it. I haven't cared one bit about baseball, football, or any other sports (besides soccer) in quite some time. Last night, I cared. And I had a blast. And I will be going to many more in the future. My friend invited me to go with her and her husband and 2 daughters. A family outing + foreigner = a pretty awesome time times 5. Here are some pictures to keep your humerus humorous.

It starts...
Everyone makes their own pom-poms out of newspaper! Everyone. How smart.
Newspaper is the new party favor. Move over confetti.

These guys were so funny and so loud.. and they so love their baseball team.

And then the orange garbage bags get handed out. Towards the end of the game.

What better use of a garbage bag than to put it on your... head? This is their tradition. It happens at every single game. I cannot understand it.

But I will join in! Why not?
A sea of orange garbage-bagged heads.

The end. We won. More adventures to update you with soon... There are many.
